Acupuncture in veterinary medicine

Since 1985, members of the Australian Veterinary Association have established the Australian Veterinary Acupuncture Group who promote the use of acupuncture as a supported form of therapy that can be utilised on its own, or in conjunction with other therapeutic treatments.

Acupuncture requires additional education for veterinary professionals, which Dr Andrea Kimler has completed, and has since, been a supported and valuable professional expanding her knowledge of various treatments, and constructing tailored therapies for each patient to reach their needs.

What is acupuncture?

By targeting specific points with fine needles, acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanisms, promoting overall well-being and aiding in the management of health issues.

It has shown efficacy in addressing various conditions, including but not limited to muscle soreness, strained muscles, stress and organ function.
