Dr. Andrea, owner and head veterinarian of 313vets completed her veterinary studies at The University of Melbourne, furthering them afterwards with a Membership in Small Animal Surgery and a course in Animal Acupuncture.Andrea’s expertise, commitment and passion towards her personal and professional development ensures the highest level of quality care is provided for all patients.
Andrea’s enthusiasm is evident not only in her professional achievements but also in her personal life. As a dedicated fan of the Richmond Football Club, member of the Melbourne High School Old Boys Hockey Club, Rotarian, and through her community engagement appearing at the Boroondara Farmers Market, Andrea displays true leadership, compassion and enthusiasm in all she does.
Andrea’s dedication to animals is evident, and has been present since she was a young girl with horses, to a family with dogs and cats over the years. Our Late Nurse Moo, a beloved Pomeranian who passed away at the age 21, proved the importance of tender loving care after adopting Andrea as her own. It is the imprint that Moo has left which remains a guiding force, and inspiration for Andrea, and the team at 3I3vets, and she remains present as our clinic’s poster girl.
Nurse Emily is completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, further solidifying her commitment to advancing her knowledge in the veterinary field. Her ongoing education, combined with her practical experience, allows her to provide quality care and support to our patients and clients. She has made herself an expert in kitten neonatal care which we all value highly. Emily’s strong communication skills, attention to detail, and genuine passion for animal welfare make her a highly valued team member at 3I3vets.
Emily brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, and her love for animals is evident in every aspect of her life, especially at home, where she cares for three lovely cats, along with several orphans and rescues that she has taken under her wing.
Her ongoing commitment to welfare is evident with her work extending to international organisations. In addition to her local volunteer work with Australian Animal Rescue, Emily volunteers at Villa Kitty – a small rescue organisation in Indonesia with her annual visits. During her time, she assists in the socialisation processes to ensure animals and new owners are prepared for adoption.
In her spare time, Emily combines her creative nature and passion for animal welfare through crocheting and sewing, donating her hand crafted projects to aid the safety and rehoming efforts for wildlife affected by natural disasters.
Nurse Heidi is a dedicated and hardworking member of our team, currently pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The University of Melbourne, where she is on her way to fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. Heidi joined us at 3I3vets at the end of 2021, bringing with
her a solid foundation in animal health, having completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science with a focus on Production Animal Health at The University of Melbourne.
Heidi is particularly passionate about surgery and eagerly embraces every opportunity to refine her skills in this area. She aspires to build a career in mixed practice veterinary medicine, where she can combine her love for surgery with general veterinary care, offering comprehensive services to a range of animals, large and small.
In addition to her professional life, Heidi values an active lifestyle and has always been involved in sporting clubs. She appreciates the positive impact that staying active and spending time outdoors can have on overall well-being, and she applies this same energy and enthusiasm to her work at the clinic.
Nurse Grace joined our team at 3I3vets in 2023 with the goal of gaining hands-on clinical experience prior to completing her Certificate IV of Veterinary Nursing. Grace is focused on deepening her practical
knowledge and understanding of animal care, ensuring she progresses with exceptional academic and real-world experience as she aims to resume her tertiary studies.
Grace is a natural dog whisperer and has developed an immense understanding of canine behaviour through her work with external canine daycare organisations. This experience has given her invaluable insight into recognising subtle changes in dogs’ behaviour, body language, and overall presence. Her keen ability to interpret these cues allows her to create the most appropriate environment for all our clients.
Grace brings a vibrant and compassionate personality to our clinic, contributing to the homely and comfortable environment we strive to maintain. Her outgoing nature and positive attitude are infectious among the team, and her dedication to learning inspires us all. Grace is a source of inspiration and encouragement, sharing her warmth and unwavering passion for animal care every day.
Since 2023, Nurse Yesenia (Yezzy) has been a valuable member of our team at 3I3Vets and thrives with our genuinely supportive environment, and the camaraderie she has established among her colleagues. Yezzy has achieved her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, a nationally recognised qualification in addition to previous tertiary studies focusing on Animal Care.
Throughout her 7-year journey to obtain this achievement, Yezzy has been able to incorporate her passion and love for animals into her daily work and takes pride in all she does. Beyond her passion for animals, Yezzy enjoys exploring various realms of creativity and expresses this through crocheting and knitting in her spare time.
Yezzy aspires to strengthen the confidence in herself and reach new heights in her professional growth and personal goals such as visiting Japan one day with her mum.
Nurse Jackson began his professional journey with us to grasp integral work-related experiences, whilst simultaneously completing his final years of secondary education. Since then, he has become an integral part of our team at 3I3vets, consistently making a positive impact within the clinic.
Driven by his genuine passion for continuous learning and personal growth, he aspires to pursue tertiary studies in paramedicine. Jackson plans to leverage the hands-on skills, practical knowledge, and
professional exposure he has gained with us to achieve the goals in his future career.
Always present with a calm demeanour, quick thinking and adaptability, Jackson upholds these traits in both his professional and personal life.
Displaying immense dedication and skill, he has also made significant contributions through his involvement with Surf Lifesaving. These valuable qualities have been recognized by Life Saving Victoria, who have honoured him with multiple awards for his excellence, achievements, and commitment.
Nurse Kirsten is the newest addition to our team at 3I3vets, bringing a deep passion for animal care which stemmed from her exposure and experience with animal rescue groups. Kirsten’s journey into veterinary care began through her work in rescue, where she discovered a strong calling to help animals in need. Currently, Kirsten is seeking acceptance into a degree in veterinary medicine, and aims to pursue a career incorporating her special interest in feline medicine.
When she’s not at the clinic, Kirsten dedicates her time to cat rescue organisations, caring for a variety of rescue animals, ensuring administration tasks are complete and advocating for animals ready for adoption.
Outside of her professional life, Kirsten enjoys catching up with friends, cheering on the Pies at the footy, and staying active by playing basketball. Her compassionate nature and experience make her a valuable member of the 3I3vets team, where she continues to expand her knowledge and skills in veterinary care.
